I don't just take pictures; I create heirlooms.

I specialize in preserving the joy and love of life's most important events, with a particular passion for weddings. My photography journey began in my teens, igniting a lifelong dedication to the art. After honing my skills through an apprenticeship at a leading commercial studio and gaining years of experience in the Kannapolis area, I launched Ken Thomas Photography in 2005. In 2007, I opened my first portrait studio in historic downtown Concord.

While I photograph a variety of subjects, weddings are my true calling. Since capturing my first wedding in 2005, I have had the privilege of documenting over 660 weddings, each one a unique and unforgettable experience. The joy and emotion of these celebrations resonate deeply with me, and I am committed to capturing the authentic story of each couple's special day.

My focus goes beyond posed portraits; I aim to capture candid moments, fleeting glances, and genuine emotions that make your wedding day special. From the pre-ceremony emotional moments with friends and family to the celebratory dances, I will preserve every precious detail, creating lasting memories you'll treasure forever.

Although I am proud of the awards I have received, my greatest reward is the trust that my wedding couples place in me to capture their once-in-a-lifetime moments. It is incredibly fulfilling when they return to me for the opportunity to witness and photograph their next significant life events. Over the years, I have had the joy of capturing their anniversaries, maternity sessions, newborn portraits, and other family milestones.

After two decades in this field, I now find myself photographing graduations and sporting events for the children of some of my earliest wedding couples. This truly demonstrates the power of photography and the enduring connections I have built.
